P.D.A. 2000 Youth Hunt Winners are as follows;
First Place, Daniel
Allen, 13 years old from Barhamsville, Virginia gets an Elk Hunt thanks
to Majestic World Lodge for donating this hunt and thanks to Bob Clark
for all his help.
Second Place,
Shannon Dunlap, 13 years old from Centre Hall, Pennsylvania gets a WhiteTailed
Deer Hunt thanks to Paradis Outfitters and thanks to Charlie Burchfield
for all his help and thanks to Sponsor Joseph T. Ross III of Glen Rock,
Pennsylvania whom donated the funds for this Youth Deer Hunt.
Third Place,
Robert J. Osborn III, 14 years old from Pequea, Pennsylvania gets a Turkey
Hunt thanks to Dr. Greg's Youth Turkey Hunts and Dr. Greg Caldwell for
donating this hunt.

At a Meeting on April 9,2000 of the newly
formed Pennsylvania Youth Hunter Education Challenge Council a check was
presented to the Pennsylvania Deer Association, Inc. for the second year
in the amount of $11,900.00 from the National Rifle Association Foundation
(N.R.A. Foundation). The money comes from "Friends of N.R.A." banquets
held last year all over this commonwealth.
Each year 50% of the net moneys raised
comes back to the state in which it was raised to be given out as grants
to youth events such as Y.H.E.C. and other worthy projects. The check was
presented by Ron Clouser (Eastern Pennsylvania N.R.A. Field Representative)

Fox (Y.H.E.C. Council Cochairman) (Photo Left).
The money was a Grant applied for by
the P.D.A. to fund the State Challenge and to send the Pa. State Y.H.E.C.
Team to the International Challenge to be held, for the second year in
a row, at the East End of Tioga/Hammond Lakes, in Tioga County, just outside
Mansfield Pa.
